Torrington, WY October 12, 2023 — Memorial services for DELORES MAE DENNIS, 93, will be held at 1pm Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Marty Jungck officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery.
Delores died September 22, 2023 in Farmington, New Mexico and cremation has taken place. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
Delores was born July 25, 1930 in Alfred, North Dakota to John and Pauline Heier. She lived in Jamestown, North Dakota until her marriage to Keith Dennis on June 11, 1947. They moved to El Paso, Texas while Keith served in the US Army. Mike was born in El Paso in March 1948 and Norma in October 1949. They moved back to North Dakota in 1950 where Keith attended college in Valley City. They moved to Torrington, Wyoming in 1954 where Keith had a teaching position. Delores got a job at the hospital and later became and LPN. She bought interest in the Dairy Queen and later bought the Monroe Plastic Store. Delores did private nursing and took care of many people after she retired from her businesses. Delores moved to Farmington in May of 2023.
Delores is survived by her son Michael (Susan) Dennis of Torrington, Wyoming; daughter Norma (Kenneth) Russell of Farmington, New Mexico; grandson Greg Russell of Riverside, California; granddaughter Eve Dennis of Torrington; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Keith and her two brothers Roy and Ray.
No services will be held for FRANCES HOPE GREEN, 86, who passed away October 10, 2023 at Goshen Healthcare Community, and cremation has taken place. Frances was born January 29, 1937 in Jefferson County, Illinois to Walter and Myrtle Green. Frances was proud to have served for the U.S Navy in the 1960’s. Colyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
No services will be held for MARGIE EMELINE SKAVDAHL, 87, who passed away October 10, 2023 at Goshen Healthcare Community, and cremation has taken place. Margie was born October 25, 1935 in Los Angles, California to James and Eula Martin. Colyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
