Torrington, WY (Colyer Funeral Home) December 18th, 2023 — Funeral services for RACHEL MARGARET SCHREINER, 96, will be held 1:30pm Friday December 22, 2023, at the First Congregational Church with Reverend Matt Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery and the casket will be closed. Rachel passed away December 10, 2023, at Goshen Healthcare Community. Rachel was born on August 6, 1927 along with her twin sister, Ruth, in Berthoud,
Colorado, the daughter of Christian and Catherine (Braun) Hill. She grew up and received her
education in Goshen County attending school at Lingle and graduating from Torrington High
School in 1947. She married Alex H. Schreiner February 1, 1947 in Torrington. They farmed in
the Cherry Creek Community for over 50 years.

Rachel enjoyed working in the farm fields alongside her husband. She liked singing in
the choir at church and she taught Sunday School for many years. She also worked at L.B.
Murphys in Torrington for ten years.

Rachel is survived by her children Margaret Bower (Kenneth) of Torrington and Barbara
Hill (Don), also of Torrington, five grandchildren, Scott (Shelly) Bower of Denver, Michael
(Stephanie) Bower of Las Vegas, NV, Brady Bower of Denver, Cynthia (Bob) McIntyre of
Torrington, and Jeff Hill from Laramie. Her six great grandchildren are Jacob, Alex, Ben and
Katherine McIntyre from Torrington and Emily and Bryce Bower from Las Vegas, NV.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, twin sister Ruth, brothers-
Jacob, Adam, John, Harold, George, Walter and Victor, sisters- Helen, Dorthea and Hilda and
many nieces and nephews.
