Torrington, WY (Colyer Funeral Home) November 22nd, 2023 — Richard “Ozz” Brewer, 96, of Lingle, Wyoming passed away on November 21, 2023, in Torrington, Wyoming. He was born on March 3, 1927 in Lingle, Wyoming. Ozz, as he was affectionately known, will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his community and country, and his love for farming.

Ozz proudly served his country as a member of the Wyoming National Guard. His military service was a testament to his bravery and commitment to defending his country.

After his honorable discharge, Ozz pursued a career as a farmer. He dedicated his life to working the land and found great joy in the agricultural industry. Ozz’s hard work and perseverance were admired by all who knew him.

In his free time, Ozz was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams. He had a deep appreciation for big band music which he shared on Sunday mornings with listeners of the local radio station. Ozz was also a passionate supporter of veterans and veterans’ activities, always lending a helping hand to those in need.

Ozz is survived by his nephew, Steve (Kathy) Brewer, and his niece Jackie (Brent) Little. Ozz was preceded in death by his father, Harry Brewer, his mother, Margaret Brewer, his brother, Jack (Ethel) Brewer, and his sister, Maxine (Jack) Moyer.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am, November 30, 2023 at the Lingle Cemetery. The compassionate professionals at Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington, Wyoming, are assisting the family with the arrangements.

Ozz will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of dedication, kindness, and love will continue to inspire us all.
