JD Williams Announces Candidacy for House District 2

Apr 29, 2024 | Politics

(from JD Williams) April 29th, 2024 — It has been said that Wyoming is a small town with really long streets.  We like it that way, but every year more of the divisiveness of national politics appears in Wyoming.  Most of us understand what it means to be a neighbor, but the politicians that are repeating Washington DC talking points certainly do not.  While the political fringes are screeching that the sky is falling, we are busy and fail to pay close attention to the issues.  Wyoming needs more regular folks like us thinking seriously about the next generation and less of these politician types who think only of the next election.  I respectfully ask my fellow Wyomingites to step up and serve in whatever capacity you are called.  Many of us think we cannot afford to serve each other, but please ask yourself “can we afford not to?”

Myself, I will be running for Wyoming House District 2 Representative.

Wyomingites have always found solutions that benefit both the environment and the economy.  We must continue to stand firm against federal government overreach like the Rock Springs RMP.   Many Wyomingites need more property tax relief and working together we can make that happen.  Wyoming has historically provided energy for our nation and we must continue this legacy.  We can all agree that school choice, mental health, and small town infrastructure are all pressing issues that deserve prompt attention.  I support public educators, law enforcement, first responders, and state employees who keep Wyoming moving in the right direction.  Wyoming has what Wyoming needs.  Together, we can keep Wyoming strong.

To those of you who have and will support me in this endeavor,  I accept and appreciate your support.  Principles above politics.
