Torrington, WY February 12th, 2024 — The Old Moose building across from the court house is now home to Goshen County’s newest business. Old Moose Coffee & Events has their Grand Opening scheduled for Saturday, February 24th from 6:00AM – 2:00PM. GoCoNOW’s Taylor Bartel had a chance to talk with owners Danny and Sara Brewer, and they said that they are excited to share a fun day with customers as they officially open their doors.
“We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a Grand Opening celebration that promises to be an unforgettable experience,” said Danny. “Guests are invited to indulge in our complete selection of coffee and espresso beverages throughout the event. In addition to our beverage offerings, we have arranged for the local band, The Greendales, to perform live music, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Furthermore, we have collaborated with Melody Mae Photography to design a unique photo opportunity area. This will allow attendees to capture memorable moments with friends and family against a creatively curated backdrop. We look forward to welcoming everyone to what we anticipate will be a remarkable morning filled with good food, great music, and excellent company.”
Danny said that he and Sara wanted to channel their love for adventure into a business, so they came up with the idea for a coffee shop and event space.
“We wanted to channel our love for adventure into a business, so we came up with the concept of a coffee shop that also serves as an event space, giving us a place to settle down. I’ve performed as a singer-songwriter known as Besides Daniel, touring extensively and playing my music across the nation. I’ve had countless gigs in coffee shops where they feature live tunes, and I really enjoy that setup. Now with a family of our own, we’re eager for our children to experience art, enjoy live music, and find inspiration right here.”
Danny said that they want to become the go-to spot for specialty coffee.
“Our goal is to become the go-to spot for those who enjoy specialty coffee and for folks who start their day before the sun rises by opening our doors at 5:30 in the morning. Our mission is to bring the best of the high-end coffee experiences to our cozy little town. While serving Huckleberry Roasters beans we will also create unique spaces for many different demographics. Parents will find a cozy corner here to chat with other moms and dads as their kids get lost in tales during our story time sessions every Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Plus, EWC college students can look forward to showcasing their talents at our open mic nights each Thursday. And if you’re on the hunt for a modern, well-lit venue for family photo shoots, our space is picture-perfect! We book private events every weekend from 2pm-midnight. It’s our wish to provide a space where folks can honor life’s special moments, from engagement parties to anniversaries and even wedding festivities.”
Danny also shared the operating hours for the new business.
“To start, we’ll open our coffee shop from 5:30 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon, Wednesday to Saturday. We aim to provide a morning boost for those who get up really early, especially our devoted nurses, teachers, and essential workers. Once our team is ready and we can expand without stretching them too thin, we plan to open on Mondays and Tuesdays too.”
