Cheyenne, WY (RELEASE) December 20th, 2023 — In response to the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to bar Donald Trump from appearing on Colorado’s presidential ballot for the 2024 Election, Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray responded with outraged condemnation. Secretary Gray led and filed an Amicus Curiae brief with the Colorado Supreme Court arguing to reverse the lower court’s ruling labeling Donald Trump an “insurrectionist,” and that the case should have been dismissed immediately.

“I am appalled by this outrageous, unAmerican ruling made by radical Leftists on the Colorado Supreme Court,” Secretary Gray said in a statement. “It is a sad day in the history of the Republic.  I have continuously been working to make sure that President Trump will be able to be on the ballot.  We must stop the radical Left’s unAmerican and unconstitutional attempts to engage in election interference by weaponizing the Fourteenth Amendment against President Trump and the American People.  That is why I led an amicus brief seeking to fight back against these attacks on our electoral process.  We saw this coming and the radical Left-wing media has attacked me for defending the truth.  But I will continue to fight against this effort in order to protect the integrity of our elections and ensure that the people of Wyoming can choose who to elect for themselves.  I urge the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse this outrageous and unprecedented decision.”
