Yoder, WY (by Kyler Clark) February 2nd, 2024 — The Southeast Cyclones hosted the Burns Broncs in a 1A/2A matchup on Thursday night. The tables turned in the second, and the Burns Lady Broncs went into halftime up 22-16. The Lady Cyclones completely shut out the Lady Broncs in the third quarter, but the Lady Broncs would bounce back once again ultimately winning 33-24. In the boys game, Burns was looking to snap a 16 game losing streak, and the Cyclones to snap a 6 game losing streak. Southeast pulled away in the second quarter and built a 33-17 halftime lead. In the 3rd quarter, the Broncs forced many turnovers with their zone defense and were able to hold the Cyclones to just 4 points in the third quarter. In an even fourth quarter, where neither team was able to pull away, the Broncs almost made things interesting cutting the lead to 9, but after a pair of layups from Ayden Desmond and TJ Moats the Cyclones were able to keep the lead in double figures and improve to 8-8 on the season. The Burns Broncs drop to 1-17.

Burns will host 3A Douglas Friday night, and the Cyclones will travel to Rock River on Saturday.
