Torrington, WY December 4th, 2023 — The sports crew at KGOS/KERM Radio is getting set for the first week of High School Basketball broadcasts.

Torrington High School

Torrington will travel to Gillette, WY for the 2023 Gillette Early Bird/REMAX basketball tournament. 10 teams will be in Gillette as Torrington will play their first games of the season.

Despite making a 2023 3A State Tournament appearance last year, the Torrington Boys look to bounce back this year after finishing the 2022-23 campaign with a (10-16) record.

It was much of the same for the Lady Trailblazers last year. The squad finished with an (11-14) record and were eliminated in 2 games in the 2023 3A State Tournament.

Southeast vs. Guernsey-Sunrise

The Southeast Boys enjoyed some success in the 2022-23 season. The Cyclones finished with a (17-10) record and lost the consolation championship in the 2023 1A State Tournament.

Although the Lady Cyclones boasted a 26-3 record last year, they were defeated by Upton in the 1A Girls State Championship 59-54.

The Guernsey-Sunrise Boys and Girls are both looking to improve after missing the State Tournament in the 2022-23 season. The Boys finished with a (9-10) record, while the girls went (2-17).
