Torrington, WY (by Shad Bates) March 22nd, 2024 — The Torrington Trailblazer Softball Team took the dirt in their inaugural season opener Thursday night against the Lady Plainsman.  The Lady Plainsman spoiled the affair beating the Trailblazer in both games of the double header.

Torrington sent Kennedy Reinhardt to the circle for game one.  The Trailblazers and Plainsman went back and forth during the game.  The scrappy Plainsman inched out a 10-9 victory following a late game RBI single.

Jayden Chilson was called to the rubber for game two.  The Trailblazers couldn’t get in rhythm at the plate and the Plainsman knocked in 17 runs and defeated the Trailblazers 17-4.

The Trailblazers are in action next on April 2, as they travel to Cheyenne to take on Cheyenne Central.
