On May 15, 2018 the City of Torrington received disappointing news from David Hulshizer of Casper, Wyoming who just two weeks ago accepted the position of Police Chief for the City of Torrington.

Mr. Hulshizer stated that he had to withdraw his acceptance of the position because of personal reasons and refused to elaborate any further. The City of Torrington will immediately pursue other qualified candidates to fill the position.
